Bob began exploring art several years ago through art classes with Sue Hill at WeTu Art studio. In April of 2016 he began taking additional classes at ABS in the Courage Art Studio (CAS) with Jessi Koch. Last year he signed on with CAS to start selling his art work.
Bob likes to make a variety of art works, but he prefers painting. Bob chooses his subjects from the internet or phohtos that he finds. He is drawn to actors from his favorite movies and political figures.
Sometimes he adds characters from the TV shows he has been watching or even turns characters into himself by drawing his glasses onto his finished painting with a sharpie. Bob is encouraged to transfer his images to the canvas with graphite paper and a pen. He then paints his image with acrylics and brushes before redrawing the lines with a black sharpie. He often adds glitter and glow in the dark paint to his works and has even used scented acrylics that this sister gave him for Christmas.
Bob has sold works of art to friends and through Willa B’s. One of his artworks purchased by Willa B’s was sent to California as a gift for a former Yankton resident.
Bob takes great pride in each piece he makes. He enjoys showing his work and having his pieces on display.
